Myrtle Bignell nee Dowden also known as “Aunty Myrts” of Mt. Moritz, St. George
who died on Friday 4th September, 2026
at the age of 86.

Left to mourn are:
Her sons: Terrance Dowden in the US and Rodney Bignell in the UK

Sisters: Bernice, Ellena, Joan, Janet, Sheila, Dimlee and Sandra

Grandchildren: Anthony and Antoinette in the US and Lee Bignell in the UK

Great grandchildren: Olivia, Alana and Alex

Brother-in-law: Ralph Alexander

Daughter-in-law: Jenny Dowden

Aunt: Joyce Louison

Uncle: Lashley Dowden

Many loving nieces, nephews and their families in Australia, USA, England, Trinidad and Grenada

Cousins too numerous to mention

Other close friends and relatives including: Grace Hinton, Dr. Francis Martin, Nurses Audine Searles and Shante Date, Lorna Dowden, Lorna Edwards, Cris Medford, Marielle Alexander, Anya Chow Chung, the Dowden and Harris families of Mt. The Funeral of the late Myrtle Bignell nee Dowden also known as “Aunty Myrts”
Will take place on Wednesday 30th September, 2026 at 2:00pm, commencing with tributes at 1:30pm
Funeral service will be held at Mt. Moritz Seventh Day Adventist Church, St. George
Followed by interment at Mt. Moritz Cemetery, St. George
