We remember Dr. Roland Purcell, a devoted member of the Brooklyn, New York Medical Community
who passed away on Wednesday March 25th, 2026.
A funeral viewing service will be held at Guarino’s Funeral Home, 9222 Flatlands Avenue, Brooklyn
on Friday April 10th, 2026, the funeral mass will be held on Saturday April 11th, at 11:00am
at Holy Family R.C Church 9719 Flatlands Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Dr. Purcell is survived by:
His three sons: Karl, Kevin and Kester who reside in the United States
Five siblings: Lennox, Belva, Sherill, Frances and Debbie, all of whom live in the United States
Granddaughter: Reese
Aunt: Agnes Alleyne nee` Purcell
Other relatives and friends including: Many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, Dame Cecile La Grenade, Reci La Grenade -Lashley, Godwin Thomas, Alva and Claude James, Chester Humphrey, Rodney George, Dr. Robby Short, Dr. Albert Wright, Dr. Ernel Lewis, the Lett Families of St. David, the Samuel family of Vincennes, the Purcell families of La Mode and Vincennes and the Andrews family of Thebaide, among others including his Office Manager Rae Crawford. Many others too many to mention.
