Theresa Catherine Layne also known as "Mama T"

We the Layne family from Maulty Village in St. David would like to honor Theresa Catherine Layne, known to most as Mama T.

Throughout her entire life, Mama T was dedicated to her family and to ensuring the dreams of her children were not limited by their present circumstance. In pursuit of the dreams she had for her nine children, Mama T made immense sacrifices. Her strength was admirable and her commitment unwavering. To her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and anyone else so fortunate to know her, she was a force to be reckoned with.

On this second year of her remembrance, we hold her lessons of courage, self-care, determination, and growth close to heart, and thank God for her many years of life. Her spirit continues to guide our family who all love, respect, and treasure the moments we shared with her.

To conclude this tribute, we humbly offer a quote of scripture from Ephesians Chapter 2 Verse 8: “For by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” Mama T, you are a gift by God to our family. And you are greatly missed by us all.
