Madonna Harford née Bethel, MBE of Springs, St. George’s, retired Permanent Secretary, former President of the Grenada Trades Union Council and Public Workers Union
passed away on Friday 7th July, 2023
at the age of 68.

She was the daughter of Denis and Theresa Bethel, both deceased, of Petite Martinique

Wife of the late Basil Anthony Harford

She was the:
Mother of: Basil Jr., Shereene, Dana, Anika and Luan Harford

Foster mother of: Brigid Logan

Grandmother of: Evie Twum-Barimah and Joelle Nasielski

Sister of: Eric, Gerard, Norbert, Minervalyn and Lucille Bethel, Gertrude Alexis and Regina Frank

Foster sister of: Anthony Belmar

Mother-in-law of: Isabelle Harford, Joshua Nasielski, Dari Twum-Barimah and Jochen Schneider

Many nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to mention

Many close friends and family including: the Bethel and DeRoche families of Carriacou and Petite Martinique, the Roberts and Belmar families of Mt. Parnassus, St. George, Maria Blackman and family, Gloria Payne-Banfield and family, Allison Audain-Miller and family, Sue Patrice, Josephine McGuire, Ines and Joseph Robinson and family, Joseph and Alma Bain and family, the Trade Union fraternity both locally and regionally and many neighbours, other close friends, families and former colleagues

The Funeral of the late Madonna Harford née Bethel, MBE of Springs, St. George’s
Will be held on Thursday 27th July, 2023 at 10:00am with tributes commencing at 9:30am
Funeral service will be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception
and interment St. George’s Center Cemetery
